Late in the evening of Friday 2/17/24, I mistakenly made a payment to eTags while trying to renew my New York State vehicle registration...I guess I'm not the computer savvy senior I thought I was! I sent an email to eTags' Customer Service department as soon as I realized what I had done and asked them to cancel the order I had placed with them.
By Monday morning on 2/19/24, a holiday no less, I received an email from the Customer Service department informing me the order would be cancelled and a full refund would be processed.
I checked my credit card statement today, Thursday 2/22/24, and a refund in the full amound is already pending. That being said, I think eTags' Customer Service department is extremely efficient and totally awesome...thank you so much for your help!!

I contacted ETAGS directly without resolutionI contacted the BBB and filed a complaint
ordered a replacement Vehicle Title. I found
my original & emailed to and called (888)850-**** 11:06pm they were
closed.
9:00am 11/30 I called & spoke with a rep saying a $20.00 cancellation fee is due. I got an email requesting more info for them to process my order I didn't respond. 12/1 $140.96 was charged to my Visa card not $20.00 I found this when checking my bank account on 12/4. I called ETags 12/4 the rep said he was wrong, no refund or cancellation could be given stating they had already paid the fees to the DMV and the fee was non refundable.
I told her what I was told by the first representative and she said that wasn't correct information. I asked to speak with a supervisor but was told they would call me. The supervisor called me at 11:18am 11/4 from
(310)742-**** and said they couldn't cancel my order because it was ordered by the system and my cancellation request was received but their processing system had already charged my card and it just didn't show up for their representative to see because their system is slow. But the
part of their system to charge my Visa card wasn't slow.
The order was placed 11/29, cancellation approved 11/30 card charged 12/1, somethings not right, I believe this is a scam.
Meda is the supervisor who called me back. He said there was nothing they could do even though I didn't respond to their email requesting more documents so they could finish
my order and it is an incomplete order. He said I would get a $25.00 credit for any services rendered by the DMV. I asked him for his last name and he refused to give it to me
stating he was the only supervisor named Meda that worked there.
Since they didn't have all of the information they needed to complete my order and I won't receive the documents ordered I lodged a complaint with the BBB requesting I be refunded
the full $140.96 they wrongfully charged to my card given their inability to even complete my order. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
